AHKLC Annual Symposium and the Launch of STiLE
Highlights
The Association of Hong Kong Language Centres (AHKLC) Annual Symposium was held on Wednesday 31 May at HKUST. It featured 34 distinguished speakers who delivered 21 insightful presentations. The AHKLC aims to advance language education in Hong Kong, encourage scholarly excellence, and foster professional development, networking, and collaboration among its members.
The symposium featured a plenary talk by Prof. Bee Bond, a Scholar-Practitioner from Leeds University in the UK, as well as talks featuring Dr Ken Cheng (Director CLC), other PolyU colleagues and colleagues from other universities in Hong Kong. The event’s aims of promoting scholarship and introducing the newly launched Scholarship of Teaching in Language Education online digital platform, STiLE, to language education practitioners were successfully achieved.
