The Inter-Faculty Collaboration Scheme is a joint funding mechanism supporting inter-Faculty collaborative research among FH, FHSS and FENG.  It will provide seed money for highly interdisciplinary projects that involve at least two of the Faculties concerned, and prepare them to apply for large-scale external collaborative project funds.  Projects that are novel, highly interdisciplinary, draw expertise across Faculties, and have long-term impact will receive priority. Key selection criteria will include the academic merit and feasibility of the project, degree of ‘interdisciplinarity’ and the extent of co-operation between the Faculties, as well as the potential for obtaining external large-scale funds (e.g., CRF, ITF, Theme-based RGC funding or other major initiatives from RGC, NSFC, etc.).
