Tuition and Other Fees

Payment Methods Available
  1. Select “Pay Online Now” for FPS Payment for the outstanding fee in Student Account Portal
  2. Select FPS and then click “Process Payment” under Payment Method page
  3. Scan the QR Code with your mobile app
  4. Print receipt if needed after successful payment

If you wish to make payment by credit card which is issued by financial institutions in Hong Kong, you may pay via Internet Banking Bill Payment Service with the selection of your credit card as payment account without incurring additional bank charges. For details, please check with your card issuing bank.

  1. Login to Internet Banking with Bill Payment Service
  2. Select Bill Payment Service
  3. Add New Merchant
  4. Select "Education Institution" or "Post-secondary or Specialised Education" as Category
  5. Select "The HK Polytechnic University" as Merchant
  6. Select "01" or "N/A" as Bill Type
  7. Key in 8-digit debit note number as Bill Payee Account No.
  8. Select the payment account (e.g. savings / current / credit card, etc)
  9. Enter total amount on debit note
  10. Enter the pay on date
  11. Print /save the confirmation page with reference number

Please check your payment status after 2 working days of settlement.

  1. Select “Pay Online Now” for Alipay or WeChat Pay for the outstanding non-tuition fee in Student Account Portal
  2. Select “Alipay HK” or “WeChat Pay” and then click “Process Payment” under Payment Method page
  3. Scan the QR Code with your mobile app
  4. Print receipt if needed after successful payment

  1. Register the debit note no. at 18011 (English) or 18013 (Cantonese)
  2. Settle the debit note at 18031 (English) or 18033 (Cantonese)

  3. Select “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University”
  4. Key in “01” as bill type
  5. Key in the 8-digit debit note no. and total amount on debit note
  6. Select your payment account
  7. Keep the customer advice for verification

For current students and new students after programme registration who have genuine need (e.g. obtained a cheque from Government non-means tested loan), you can settle your tuition fee by crossed cheque drawn in favour of "The Hong Kong Polytechnic University" or by cash payment before the payment deadline at service counter of any branch of Hang Seng Bank with the bank-in slip obtained from Student Account Portal. However, you are urged to make use of FPS/ATM/PPS/Internet Banking Bill Payment Service to gain maximum convenience and minimize payment delay.

To obtain the bank-in slip, please log on the Student Account Portal (For Students in Taught Programmes: https://www40.polyu.edu.hk/fosae/ OR Research Students: https://www40.polyu.edu.hk/fosae/pages/rologin.jsf), use the "Fees and Receipts" facility to print a bank-in slip of a not yet overdue debit note on a blank A4 paper.

Payment status will be updated in about 5 working days. If your payment status is not updated after 5 working days, you may email the scanned copy of the payment proof to us with your student number or application number at fostud@polyu.edu.hk.

Please be reminded that admin. charges of 2.31% on top of to-be-paid amount will be incurred which is borne by the student / payer.

  1. Buy a bank draft in Hong Kong currency in favour of "The Hong Kong Polytechnic University".
  2. Please mark your full name and the debit note number (8-digit number generated after application submission) at the back of the bank draft.
  3. Please send the bank draft and the student visa application forms* (if you are a non-local admittee) via registered mail to reach us two working days before the “last day for payment” printed on the debit note to:

Payment status will be updated in about 5 working days.If your payment status is not updated after 5 working days, you may email the scanned copy of the telegraphic transfer application form to us with your student number or application number at fostud@polyu.edu.hk.

Note 1: Payment in Hong Kong currency is preferred. If wire transfer in Hong Kong currency is not available in your bank, please arrange payment in USD / EURO. If the received Hong Kong dollar amount does not suffice for the to-be-paid fee amount, student shall be responsible for the deficit.
Note 2: In order not to delay your payment status update, please be reminded to include additional HKD$240 as the handling fee in your TT payment. The handling fee is neither refundable nor transferable. In case the additional handling fee does not suffice for the actual bank charge, student shall be responsible for the deficit.
