Led by the President Dr Jacky Cheung, the delegation of the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council (HKYIC) visited The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) on 24 May to see the latest development of the University and to exchange views on the development of industries in Hong Kong.
The President of PolyU, Professor Timothy W. Tong warmly received the delegation and thanked HKYIC for its staunch support for the University. He looked forward to further collaboration with members of HKYIC and the industrial sector for the development of new technologies that would benefit the industry and the world.
Members of the delegation toured the Cleanroom which provides class 100, class 1,000 and class 10,000 environments, the Food Safety and Technology Research Centre, the Aviation Services Research Centre and the Industrial Centre during their visit, and had fruitful discussions with the professors and investigators in charge of the facilities. Apart from the President, other members of the HKYIC delegation included Executive Vice President Mr Zhang Hwo-jie, Vice Presidents Mr Benedict Sin and Mr Alan Cheung, other Executive Committee members and YIC Youth Chapter members.
