The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) Foundation held two appreciation receptions on 9 May and 22 May 2019 respectively, to express its gratitude to its members for their generous support to the University. Prof. Philip Chan, PolyU Interim President, warmly welcomed the guests and shared with them PolyU’s accomplishments in education, research and knowledge transfer. He acknowledged members for their ardent support to the University, which enabled PolyU to make further contributions to the betterment of society. Dr Katherine Ngan, Chairman of the PolyU Foundation, expressed her heartfelt thanks to the members for their long-standing support. Besides introducing the objectives of the Foundation, Dr Ngan encouraged members to continue to support PolyU so that the University could secure extra funds for its development through the Eighth Matching Grant Scheme.
As a token of thanks, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the members by Prof. Chan and Dr Ngan. After the appreciation reception, the members also paid a visit to the House of Innovation to know more about PolyU’s accomplishment in research and development.
