Mission
The mission of the Institutional Planning and Analytics Office (IPAO) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is to provide timely and accurate information and analyses to support senior management in their academic planning and decision making, including monitoring progress on achieving the Strategic Plan.
Responsibilities

Support the senior management to develop and monitor university-wide strategic plans and initiatives.

Coordinate the reporting of institutional data to government bodies and external parties.

Develop performance indicators to facilitate the robust assessment and continuous improvements in key areas.

Provide data for international ranking purposes and analyze performances and developments.

Conduct and interpret institutional benchmarking studies and comparative studies in higher education.

Empower the use of data through various information management systems, dashboards, and advanced analytics platforms.

Employ best practices in predictive analytics and provide actionable business intelligence and precise data for evidential decision-making.
