Durable Nano-Encapsulated Insect Repellent Finishing for Fabrics

Insect bite is a known way of disease transmission and hence there is a demand of insect repellent products in the market. While most of the products are directly applied on skin, they are often inherent with certain level of bio-toxicity. Repeated use of these products may lead to allergies and other health risks. Our newly invented fabrics treated with emulsions of polymeric nanocapsules enable long term controlled release of insect repellent. Wearers can be shielded from insects effectively without having to apply insect repellent directly on skin. Our technology is applicable to all clothing/textile products, especially outdoor apparel and sportswear.
