This invention is the methods of making and using a new concentrated
ultrasound coupling agent. The concentrated ultrasound coupling
agent consists of viscosity modifiers, lubricants, pH adjusting agents
and fungicides. Coloring and perfumes may be added as well. The
agent’s preparation steps include viscosity modifiers swelling, raw
material mixing, and pH value adjusting, etc. The concentrated
ultrasound coupling agent is easy to use, and can be diluted simply
with distilled water prior to use in order to meet the medical treatment
requirements. While this new highly concentrated ultrasound agent
reduces the use of plastic containers, and thus reduces the chemical
contamination of the environment. It is highly concentrated that
space and weight can be significantly reduced during transportation
and storage. The invention can reduce the use of preservatives, and
even do not use any. The related techniques can also be used in
dilution of hydrophilic agents in ultrasound-medicated treatments.
