Thermal and Moisture Comfort Mastectomy Bra and Prosthesis

Heat and moisture build-up is one of the most commonly reported issues about post-mastectomy products. This creates discomfort for the wearers who already suffered enough from breast cancer and subsequent mastectomy experience. Therefore, our research team designed three mastectomy products:

1) mastectomy bra

2) prosthesis for heat and moisture build-up prevention

3) a garment clip for the prosthesis to be used with non-mastectomy bras.

A scientific performance evaluation measuring 1) skin temperature, 2) humidity, and 3) body core temperature proved that our mastectomy bra and prosthesis prevent heat and moisture build-up when compared to conventional products.
