Beamforming System with Acoustical Array, and its Accessories for the Noise Source Mapping of Various Modes of Transportation

breadcrumb01

Specifications

Major Functions / Key Features

  • Mapping the entire rail vehicle or specific sections allows for distinguishing between aerodynamic noise and rolling noise generated by the interaction of the wheels with the rails and rail sleepers. Smaller components, such as the pantograph, can be specifically targeted, and their sound power contribution can be calculated, enabling users to easily prioritize areas based on their significance.
  • Identifying key noise sub-sources, such as inter-coach gangways, in terms of their position, frequency content, and sound power radiation, aids in determining where design modifications can most effectively reduce overall noise radiation. This can either lower noise levels or optimize their content and propagation.
