The test platform provides an effective way to study the dynamic features of maglev vehicle-electromagnet-rail interaction and the capability of the suspension control system by testing different parameters of a maglev system, such as suspension, train speed, rail condition and external excitation. Also, the test platform is able to provide experimental verifications for new technologies of maglev trains. Besides the application to the maglev system itself, the test platform is able to test structural health monitoring technologies, such as smart sensors, machine learning algorithms and suspension control algorithms.
