The equipment consists of a software package

• Enable fully automated MS analysis including
  • acquisition of the mass spectra generated from the microorganisms
  • matching the acquired protein peaks with the embedded mass spectral library
  • reporting the results of the best-matches
• Able to evaluate spectrum as it being produced, terminate acquisition once the spectrum quality become satisfactory, in order to reduce laser consumption, prolong time between ion source cleaning and to speed up data acquisition
