The Brillouin Optical Scanner System (BOSS)

breadcrumb01

Specifications

Major Functions / Key Features

The BOSS instrument is based on a Brillouin microscopy technique that measures minute changes in the wavelength of back-scattered light produced by light directed and focused into target ocular tissues, such as the cornea or crystalline lens. The measured frequency shift, which is correlated to the material stiffness, will be used to determine cornea and crystalline lens stiffness
