With a view to showcasing PolyU’s endeavours in interdisciplinary research, innovation, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship to local, national and global audiences, PolyU organised the InnoTech Open Day on 16 July 2022 which offers a wide range of thrilling activities targeting innovation and technology (I&T) entrepreneurs, industry partners, researchers, young talents and students.
RCMI participated in the major highlights of the event: in the morning session, Dr Daniel Mok, Acting DoRCMI, graced the PAIR inauguration ceremony with RI/RC Directors under PAIR to mark the official launch of the largest interdisciplinary research in Hong Kong and the GBA; In the afternoon session, in addition to exhibition booth showcasing the Centre’s research directions and funded projects, the Centre also joined hands with Research Institute for Future Food (RiFood) to host a parallel session themed “Health Food & Lifestyle Management” to enhance public’s understanding of promoting optimal health with TCM. RCMI is delighted to have Dr Jessie Lin, Research Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Science as the speaker.”, Dr Lin’s sharing, entitled “TCM Based Lifestyle Management for Improving Personal Health and Wellness, featured major TCM-based lifestyle management techniques, their therapeutic and antidepressant effects as well as related RCMI funded projects. The sharing was followed by a Panel Discussion led by Dr Daniel Mok, Acting DoRCMI and Dr Wong Ka Hing, DoRiFood with fruitful exchange.
