Visit by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transport delegation

A delegation from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation visited PolyU on 20 December for an industry-academia-research exchange meeting, aiming to enhance collaboration and drive innovation in transportation and related fields.

Prof. DONG Cheng, Associate Vice President (Mainland Research Advancement) and Chair Professor of Cell Engineering and ImmunoMedicine in the Department of Biomedical Engineering of PolyU warmly greeted the delegation. He outlined PolyU's academic, research, innovation, and industry integration achievements. He also emphasised recent advances in intelligent transportation and infrastructure engineering, highlighting the university's dedication to transform research into practical applications for societal and economic advancement.

At the meeting, both parties delved into intelligent transportation and infrastructure development, sharing successful experiences and technological breakthroughs. They also expressed a strong commitment to strengthening their partnership through closer collaboration in resource sharing, talent exchange, and technology transfer to mutually benefit and achieve a win-win outcome.

The visit enhanced collaboration between Sichuan Department of Transportation and PolyU, laying a strong foundation for long-term partnership. Both sides anticipate further collaboration to drive scientific and technological innovation for better well-being.
