December 2018 - PolyU joins Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Space Science and Technology Alliance and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Ocean Technology Innovation Alliance
A total of 21 universities and institutions in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, including PolyU, joined the Alliances – an important initiative to harness the growing momentum of the nation’s development, and provide a robust talent pool and strong technical support for the national strategic development in areas of space and ocean.

October 2020 - Online Conference: Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Space Science and Technology
In the Online Conference of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Space Science and Technology, members of the Alliance Committee including PolyU, nominated the director and the deputy director of the Alliance and discussed other issues related to the Alliance.
RIO, Professor Yu Changyuan from the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering of PolyU, and Dr. Fangxin (Frank) Zou, Assistant Professor of the Interdisciplinary Division of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering of PolyU were invited to join the “Academic Exchange and Development Planning" session. Dr. Zou presented the report of “A Highly Sensitive Nanocomposite Ultrasonic Sensor Fabricated from Polydopamine-Coated Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene”.
