I received my bachelor’s degree from Sichuan University, and my master’s degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After working as an occupational therapist in the clinical field for several years, I realised that my aspiration was to obtain a PhD degree and become a researcher. PolyU is my alma mater. The teachers at the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (RS), PolyU are my inspirational tutors and have given me a lot of help. I am very grateful for the opportunity to study at RS again.
My research interest is to investigate the neural mechanism and effects of rhythmic auditory stimulation on upper-limb movements and functions in people with Parkinson’s disease. Under the guidance of my supervisor Dr Shu-Mei Wang, I have gained a deeper understanding of movement sciences and rhythmic auditory stimulation. I believe the results of this study will benefit the Parkinson’s disease population by reducing symptoms, improving movements, and increasing quality of life.
