News and Events
I am currently a PhD student of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (RS). My research interests focus on symptom management in stroke populations and gerontology. My research findings have been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international and regional conferences. In my doctoral studies, I am going to develop an intervention programme for people with stroke to manage their symptoms.
I chose to study at RS because my research topic is related to neurorehabilitation, which is one of the research strengths of RS. In addition, stroke rehabilitation is a long process and interdisciplinary care is required. This drives me to pursue studies at this department so as to collaborate with other researchers from different healthcare disciplines. My evidence-based study will help address the needs of people with stroke, and promote the quality of stroke care. It will also introduce an innovative, client-centred intervention in clinical practice to healthcare professionals worldwide.
