I got my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Sun Yat-sen University in mainland China. After graduation, I worked as a research assistant at the Shenzhen Institute of Neuroscience and the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I decided to pursue my PhD at RS because it offers a friendly and supportive environment for research and self-growth.
I am particularly interested in social cognition and its underlying neural mechanisms. My current research focuses on prosocial behaviour and the ageing population, using both behavioural assessments (e.g., questionnaires, computer-based tasks) and neuroimaging techniques (e.g., fMRI, fNIRS, EEG/ERP). I believe my research will contribute to the mental well-being of people with or without disabilities.
