【#WeArePolyU – Fight against Virus】“After the outbreak of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), we have been committed to developing research in the area of medical diagnosis, with the aim of equipping frontline healthcare providers with advanced tools for on-site diagnosis.” Prof. Terence Lau, Director of Innovation and Technology Development of PolyU and Adjunct Professor of our Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology, led a research team to develop the world's most comprehensive rapid, automated multiplex diagnostic system. In about an hour in a single test, the system can detect up to 40 infectious respiratory pathogens, including COVID19.
