【#WeArePolyU】What are your personal goals?
“I want to realise my potential, so that I can be a global citizen who strives to make a difference and make a positive impact on my community.” Madina arrived in Hong Kong four years ago from Kazakhstan with an initial focus on business studies, but she ended up with a meaningful and diversified university experience that has broadened her global outlook. After participating in a service-learning programme organised by PolyU, she became passionate about advocating for sustainability. Through academic exchange programmes at the University of Cambridge and University of Alberta, her eyes were opened to the need for raising awareness of social issues such as homelessness and poverty. Looking beyond graduation, Madina is inspired to contribute to the betterment of the world.
