The 1^st International Symposium and Roundtable on Healthcare Communication (ISRHC) was held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 14-16^th March 2011. This biennial event provides the opportunity for international experts in healthcare communication to share research, knowledge and best practice, to facilitate cross-disciplinary and international collaboration, and to build an international network and agenda for research on effective communication for improving patient safety, relationships, and care in healthcare settings.

The 2^nd International Symposium and Roundtable on Healthcare Communication: Fostering International Research Collaboration for Safer and More Compassionate Healthcare Practices was held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 24–26^th June 2013.  The event provided a forum for internationally renowned communication and healthcare experts — from the US, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, China and the UK — to share their latest research findings, discuss key challenges and critical issues in healthcare communication within their jurisdictions, and to collaborate to enhance values, compassion, and patient safety in healthcare systems throughout the world. 

The Mini Roundtable on Healthcare Communication was held at the University of Lugano, Switzerland, June 25, 2014.
