Dr Tarli Young
Summary
In this one-hour talk, Tarli will discuss evidence-based approaches to building resilience and wellbeing in high-stress environments. She will provide specific tools that participants can use to manage difficult thoughts and emotions while taking actions in line with their values. Tarli will also discuss the importance of work design and research culture. Attendees will leave the talk with practical approaches they can take to improve their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around them.

Dr Tarli Young
School of Psychology, The University of Queensland, Australia
Tarli Young is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, in the School of Psychology at The University of Queensland where she also lectures in Positive Psychology. Her work focuses on wellbeing interventions and research in mindfulness, wellbeing science, meaning in work, and social identity. Each of these fit within her overall aim of improving the wellbeing of adults – particularly within the workplace. She specialises in research on improving wellbeing in high-meaning, high-stress careers.
