Research Overview
My research interests are sociolinguistics and intercultural communication. In particular, how culture, attitudes, perceptions and intergroup relationships, as well as situational contextual factors affect communication (non)accommodation.
I am currently involved in a research project that investigates end-of-life workers in Hong Kong and Australia, how they have responded to the need to incorporate exceptional infection control regulations associated with the Covid-19 pandemic into daily working practices with the aim to draw attention to the cultural, social and work practices that contribute to marking death at broader societal levels.
