INTERDISCIPLINARY SYMPOSIUM ON INSTITUTIONS, GOVERNANCE, AND INNOVATION

I. Introduction
The Interdisciplinary Symposium on Institutions, Governance, and Innovation aims to shed light on the crucial role of institutional contexts and governance structures in driving innovation and economic growth. While traditional literature has focused on individual inventors and dynamics of technological evolution, we will explore institutional and organizational factors to explain regional and firm-level innovation. This symposium will bring together scholars, research students, policymakers, and practitioners from various disciplines to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and advance knowledge in the field of innovation.
II. Objectives
To provide a platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge exchange on the role of institutions and governance in innovation.
To encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among scholars from economics, political science, sociology, geography, management, public policy, and other relevant fields.
To showcase cutting-edge research findings and theoretical advancements in the study of institutions, governance, and innovation.
To explore regional variations in innovation output and understand the impact of institutional contexts and organizational features.
To facilitate networking and foster research partnerships among participants.
III. Symposium Format
The symposium will be held over one and a half days and will include the following activities:
Keynote speeches: Two Internationally renowned experts will deliver 2 keynote speeches on topics related to institutions, governance, and innovation in the two days of the conference.
- Ruth V. Aguilera (Northeastern University, Professor, Associate Editor, AMR & JIBS)
- Rodolphe Durand (HEC Paris, Professor, Associate Editor, SMJ)
Paper presentations: Eight leading scholars in this field will present their research papers, focusing on the institutional and governance factors influencing innovation outcomes.

IV. Innovation Policy Forum
The symposium will also have a half day forum on innovation policy, to discuss how we can implement the research ideas into practices and public policies. The forum will invite the following five panelist
