Institute of Textiles & Clothing Institute of Textiles & Clothing 161 Qualification PhD (PolyU) ORCID ID 0000-0002-8570-4888 Dr NG Kwok Hei Haze Research Assistant Professor Research Overview Dr Ng’s research interests cover narrative and interactive fashion and textile design, contemporary design philosophies, methodologies, and practices, particularly those in relation to critical and constructive design research. With a strong interest in sociocultural and artistic design creation, Dr Ng also investigates in traditional attire and textile craftsmanship, including authentic men’s cheongsam tailoring and connotative surface embellishments. Through cross-disciplinary and critical design approaches, his works often attempt to hybridize fashion and textile design through innovative applications of advanced technologies and traditional craftsmanship, fabricating interactive and rhetorical creations.
