Current research focuses on two fields: Discovery of new drugs from Traditional Chinese Medicine & natural products The isolation, structure elucidation and modification, as well as biological evaluation of small molecules with anticancer, anti- inflammatory activities from natural products and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Quality control of Traditional Chinese Medicine Authentication of Chinese Materia Medica, and quality assessment of Traditional Chinese Medicine and related products. Participated in the Hong Kong Chinese Materia Medica Standards to develop standard monograph and analytical methods for Hong Kong since 2006.
