In the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject, PolyU ranked 10th in a tie with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) for the study of Civil and Structural Engineering.

In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the Faculty of Construction and Environment (FCE) has launched the FCE Distinguished Lecture and Distinguished Chair Professor Inaugural Lecture Series. A total of ten lectures will be delivered in 2017 by distinguished scholars from different parts of the world and newly appointed Distinguished Chair Professors of PolyU.
