Scholarship Students Graduate with Distinction

3 students supported by entry scholarships of the Postgraduate Scheme in Construction and Environment have recently graduated with Distinction. Following are their thoughts on what studying at PolyU has meant for them.

Mr Shing Poon, a graduate of the MSc programme in Project Management, was impressed by the free and open exchange of ideas between teachers and students in class. Classmates from different professional backgrounds in the industry could express and share their views from various perspectives. As a part-time postgraduate student, time management was very important for him. He advised other students to concentrate in their classes and assignments. His future plan is to work as a chartered engineer.

Mr Poon

Another graduate of the same programme, Mr Tony Wong, found it an enriching and memorable experience to meet new classmates at the beginning of each course and learn from them. Interacting with classmates from different backgrounds has broadened his horizons. He believes having a work-life balance is important for part-time students who have a full-time job. His career goal is to be a professional engineer and project manager in the near future.

Mr Wong

Ms Lo Chan, a graduate of the MSc programme in Building Services Engineering (BSE), has enjoyed every moment at PolyU getting both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, thus building a concrete foundation for a career. She also thinks time management is important to balance work and studies. She would like to keep learning and explore other disciplines as she believes lifelong learning is a path to happiness and fulfillment.

Ms Chan
