Wong Tit-shing Student Exchange Scholarship (2024/25)
Exclusively for Faculty of Engineering students
Wong Tit-shing Student Exchange Scholarship has been set up since 2013/2014 and has benefitted over 300 Engineering students to participate in the mainland and overseas exchange programmes. The programmes have helped our Engineering students develop their international horizons, enhance their understanding on global development and also extend their networks globally.
Eligibility:
- Applicants should be full-time undergraduate degree students studying government-funded programmes offered by FENG or her constituent departments.
- Applicants must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of application/ selection.
- The exchange is organised in collaboration with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s student exchange partner universities.
- The exchange does not require students to pay tuition fee or placement fee to the host institution.
- The exchange period should last for one semester which will be held in Semester 1 or Semester 2 of 2024/25.
The exchange scholarship in 2024/2025 will only be awarded to those who have not received the same scholarship in previous years. Each student is eligible to be awarded once for this exchange scholarship during his/her undergraduate study.
If students have already, for whatever reasons, withdrawn from the exchange programme, terminated the studies at PolyU (e.g. defer, withdraw, etc.) or have changed the mode of study (e.g. from full-time to part-time) or have disciplinary record(s) in PolyU or no physical travel is involved in the exchange programme, students are no longer eligible for the scholarship.
Selection Criteria:
Family financial situation, academic merits, personality and language ability of the students.
