Professor Yi Cui studies fundamentals and applications of nanomaterials and develops tools for their understanding. Research Interests: nanotechnology, batteries, electrocatalysis, wearables, 2D materials, environmental technology (water, air, soil), cryogenic electron microscopy.

Professor Xiaohong Guan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Control Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1982 and 1985, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Systems Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1993. He was a senior consulting engineer with Pacific Gas and Electric from 1993 to 1995. He visited the Division of Engineering and Applied Science, Harvard University 1999-2000. Since 1995 he has been with the Systems Engineering Institute at Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, and was appointed as the Cheung Kong Professor of Systems Engineering in 1999, and Dean of Faculty of Electronic and Information Engineering since 2008. From 2001 he has also been with the Center for Intelligent and Networked Systems, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and severed the Head of Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, 2003-2008. Professor Guan is a member of Chinese Academy of Science and IEEE Fellow. His research interests include economics and security of networked systems, optimization based planning and scheduling of electrical power and energy systems, manufacturing systems, etc., and cyber-physical systems including smart grid, etc.
Professor Weisheng WANG

Professor Weisheng Wang received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 1996. Since 1997, he has been employed at China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), Beijing, China. Currently, Professor Wang is the Chief Engineer of CEPRI and the Executive Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory of Operation and Control of Renewable Energy & Storage Systems. He is the IEEE senior member and the fellow of Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE). His research field includes operation and control of renewable energy generation integration, and power system stability.

Bill Ho is the General Manager (Corporate Development) of HK Electric, responsible for the planning, development, and environmental affairs of the Company. Bill has more than 27 years’ experience in managing the corporate development and business operations of power utilities in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Bill is a Chartered Engineer, and a member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and The Institution of Engineering and Technology in the United Kingdom.
