Industrial and Systems Engineering students won the merit award in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) Student Day competition 2021
Miss LUK Hoi Yan, Miss CHAN Pui Ling, Miss TSOI Tsz Yeung, Miss HAO Ming Wai, and Miss LI Wen Jun, who are graduates of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE), won the merit award in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) Student Day competition 2021. Their project title is "What appropriate strategies suit liner shipping for the coming 2-3 years in terms of costs and revenue?" In this project, the team analyzed the current situation of air transport and sea transport under the impact of the pandemic. They identified the advantages and disadvantages of both transport modes, based on which, they proposed various strategies for liner shipping. Their preparation and performance impressed the judges.
