The 3^rd International Conference on English Across the Curriculum (EAC)

The 3^rd EAC conference was held online from 20-22 May 2021 as a two-day conference with post-conference workshop on the third day. It was co-organised by five universities in Hong Kong with PolyU playing a major role.

With conference theme of English Across the Curriculum, there are five sub-themes:

• Role of EAC/WAC/CLIL in learning and teaching
• Pedagogy and practices
• Programme design, collaboration and assessment
• Technology-enhanced language learning (especially under COVID-19)
• Impact of factors affecting any of the above

The conference attracted 1002 participants from 50 countries on six continents – a really international composition – with the highest number of participants coming from Hong Kong, Iran, United States, the Philippines and Malaysia. A total of 248 presenters from 29 countries spoke on a wide range of topics and shared challenges they faced in their teaching context.
