Workshops and Seminars to Improve the Chinese Proficiency of our Students
Events
With an aim to support students learning by providing a range of activities with Chinese Language focus, various events were successfully held by the Self-learning Unit (SLU) this year. Hosted by experienced instructors from the Chinese Language Centre (CLC), different activities were organised for both students and teachers. For example, “Sharing Session on DSR Teaching” was specifically designed for teachers to share how to tackle problems faced when teaching professional Chinese in hybrid mode. “Workshop on Computer Skills in Chinese”, “New Interpretations of Masterpieces of Tang Poetry and Song Ci”, “Avoiding Common Errors in Your Chinese Writing” and “Introductory Workshop on Cantonese Pronunciation” were held for students at PolyU. The SLU team is delighted that students took part in these workshops and talks. Through the above activities, SLU has promoted the Chinese language, bringing new knowledge and insights to participants.
