Eight Projects Funded in TDG 2022-25 Exercises
Research & Scholarly Activities
Following our success in the first round of the Teaching Development Grants (TDG) 2022-25, three additional projects are funded in the second round exercise:
- AI-assisted and Inquiry-based Chinese Language Learning (PI: Miss Sarah WONG(CLC))
- GPT and AI: Empowering HKPolyU students (PI: Mr Adam FORRESTER(ELC))
- Exploring European Culture in Metaverse (PI: Dr Renia LOPEZ(ENGL))
The projects funded in the first round were as follows:
- The effect of feedback on students’ metacognitive strategies in translation and interpreting (PI: Dr LIU Kanglong(CBS))
- AI-powered Video Job Interviewing: Impact on the teaching and learning of professional English (PI: Ms Anna HO(ELC))
- Developing an online English language support platform for SYA students (PI: Dr Linda LIN(ELC))
- Development of Electronic Reading Materials with Collaborative Online Reading Annotation Features for Pre-Class Reading Activities in Flipped LCR Chinese and DSR Chinese Classes (PI: Dr LAM On(CLC))
- Co-Curricular CLIL activities for authentic communication in Japanese (PI: Dr Tomoko AKASHI(CBS))
The eight projects funded in these two rounds of exercise have received a total funding of over HK$2.2 million.
