CLC’s Sharing Session on Blended Learning (Collaborated with EDC)

The 1st joint sharing session on Blended Learning hosted by Chinese Language Centre (CLC) with the partnership of Educational Development Centre (EDC) was successfully held online on 12 May 2022.
The sharing session opened a window to the deeper issue — blended learning and teachers’ effort on the enhancement of this radical redesign transforming the structure of and the approach to teaching and learning.
Hosted by Miss Helen Ma Hak-wan(CLC), Dr Laura Zhou(EDC) outlined the definition, benefits and challenges of blended learning. Dr Lam On(CLC) hit on the solutions to the problems of teaching Chinese-LCR in the blended learning mode. Dr Lam Yan-yan(CLC) briefed the settings and constructions in flipped learning platform for Cantonese. Miss Sarah Wong Ching-sum(CLC) highlighted the pedagogies on flipped classroom and blended learning to enhance the acquisition of Chinese language for non-Chinese speaking learners. Dr Ken Cheng Siu-kei and Dr David Yuen Chun-wah from CLC shared the development of the Centre’s new Cantonese MOOC course and sketched the ideas of integrating the MOOC with the current course.
The session was concluded by Dr Ken Cheng in the capacity of the Director of CLC with gratitude to all presenters and participants.
