Abstract
In this talk, I will discuss contemporary views on the evolving role of technology in the classroom and how it should be reconceptualized to not just mirror traditional learning activities, but to supplement them with new goals and revised learning outcomes. The plethora of different tools now available to us finally put achieving more ambitious learning outcomes and incorporating research components into the curriculum within our grasp. In this seminar I discuss the background, the theory, and the practice, illustrating with specific examples and demonstrating some of the tools.
