Abstract
Stroke is a major cause of disability in adults, and language impairment is one of the common consequences of stroke. This talk provides an overview of language processing in the brain, review symptoms of language impairment following stroke, examine language recovery with speech therapy, and discuss possibilities of new treatment with reference to local research evidence.
