FH Global Showcase: A Spanish Experience at the International Cultural Festival
Events
The Spanish Experience event includes various activities to introduce the Spanish culture to PolyU staff and students.
Over 200 people attended the Spanish Experience held on 26 October, jointly organised with GEO and the Spanish Consulate. The Spanish Consul, Mr Aguirre, opened the event, awarding the prize to the best student of Spanish, Ms Wong. He then presented on the Camino de Santiago (St. James’ Way), after which a raffle was held for a Spanish dinner, which concluded the opening ceremony. Throughout the afternoon, visitors enjoyed the various activities organised, which included a Speak-Dating table, with four native speakers and some of our students of Spanish teaching basic Spanish; a Spanish food degustation booth, a tile-glazing booth as well as a fan painting one. One of the most popular events was the VR booth, which allowed virtual experiences of Spain.
