Education development: Scope and inter-institution projects. Education Exchange. City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 26 April 2024.

Abstract
The education innovation unit plays a major role in the higher educational institutions (HEIs). However, the scope of such units differ from university to university. This invited featured presentation focuses on the five main areas of work of the Educational Development Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, how they are aligned with the university’s missions, and how individuals, sections and cross-sectional teams take responsibility for the achievement of target goals in each of the key performance areas, especially in the era of GenAI and other educational technology. The talk then uses several current inter-institutional teaching and learning projects to present ways these education development units can contribute to sector-wide learning-and-teaching-related initiatives for wider impact.
