Evolving with the Times, Elegant Writing through Distance: Chinese Language Centre 25th Anniversary Public Lecture Series

The Chinese Language Centre (CLC) has been providing Chinese language teaching services since its establishment in November 1998. With 39 faculty members, it is the largest Chinese language centre in Hong Kong. Recently, CLC celebrated its 25th anniversary with the “Evolving with the times, elegant writing through distance: PolyU Chinese Language Centre 25th Anniversary Public Lecture Series”. Three public lectures on Classical Literature, Modern and Contemporary Literature, and Popular Culture, were delivered by renowned scholars: Prof. Zhang Hong-Sheng (HKBU), Prof. Huang Zi-Ping (HKBU), and Prof. Chu Yiu-Wai Stephen (HKU). Faculty and students from various tertiary institutions in Hong Kong participated in these engaging lectures. Highlights from these lectures have been uploaded to CLC’s website to facilitate knowledge transfer.
