Events
The Chinese Language Centre (CLC) held the seminar series on Discipline-Specific Chinese on 24 February 2024. Approximately 100 students from the School of Design attended the event. The seminar focused on the interaction between art, design, and social engagement. CLC invited Ms Peggy Chan (陳佩玲) to share her frontline practice in art and design in the community, including case studies and analyses from different perspectives. The seminar aimed to bridge theory and practice, fostering dialogue between individual creativity and societal impact.
Ms Peggy Chan received her Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. Her studio is at the Cattle Depot Artists’ Village (Hong Kong). Her diverse works – range from paintings and photographs to videos and installations – drawing inspiration from daily life and imagination. Through her art, she delves into the intricate relationships among the individual, the city, and nature.
