DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED PHYSICS 124 Email dennis.leung@polyu.edu.hk Qualification BEng (The University of Hong Kong) PhD (Cambridge University) ORCID ID 0000-0003-0083-6273 Dr LEUNG Chi-wah Dennis Associate Professor Associate Head of Department Research Overview Dr Leung’s research interest is in the magnetism and electrical properties of oxide thin films, and the subsequent fabrication of (nano) devices and structures. Specifically, he explores the evolution of magnetism and magnetotransport behaviour in perovskite oxide with variations of microstructure, chemical doping and electrical modulation of charge carriers. Recently Dr Leung also works on the spin-Hall magnetoresistive behaviour in heavy-metal/magnetic insulator structures. Such studies permit the development of nextgeneration multi-functional magnetic devices for sensing and memory applications. Representative Publications • Mater.
