Coexistence of large conventional and planar spin Hall effect with long spin diffusion length in a low-symmetry semimetal at room temperature. Bilayer MoTe2 with strong non-linear Hall effect, showing a transverse Hall voltage at twice the frequency of the current in the longitudinal direction. This is related to the in-plane Berry curvature dipole, which is allowed in one axis of the crystal and not the orthogonal axis. Rational design of nanoporous covalent organic frameworks (COFs) as effective gas diffusion layers (GDLs) for application in Li-air batteries under open ambient air (relative humidity up to 95%) and even in various atmospheres with looping oxygen, humid air, and carbon dioxide. Awards and Achievements • STEM Global Chair Professor, 2022 • Clavirate High Cited Scientist 2018-2022 • President’s Science Award(新加坡總統科學獎), 2014 • American Chemical Society Nano Lecture Award, 2013 • NUS University Outstanding Researcher Award, 2012
