Summary

The research salon is organised in response to DP and AVP(RI)’s call on building up PolyU strengths in the research area Materials Sciences to align with the direction of establishing the third InnoHK Research Cluster recently announced at the Policy Address (https://www.policyaddress.gov.hk/2024/en/p75.html):

Establish the Third InnoHK Research Cluster

The InnoHK research clusters have become home to about 2,500 research and development (R&D) personnel from Hong Kong and around the world. The Government has already started preparatory work to establish the third InnoHK research cluster, which will focus on advanced manufacturing, materials, energy and sustainable development. The target is to attract world-class R&D teams to collaborate with local institutions, promoting R&D and bringing in talents.

The research salon serves to bring colleagues who are interested in forming a strong PolyU team to apply for InnoHK project.  We are honoured to have Prof. Philip Chan to share on InnoHK, followed by speakers with relevant expertise/ track record in the research topics/ ideas sharing their translational research to initiate an open discussion.  Details of the event are as follows:
