Yaseen Shafayet

My journey at PolyU has been extraordinary. The Faculty of Science, Department of Applied Physics, and the professors have provided wholehearted support for my academic growth. I am especially grateful to Prof. Tsang Yuen-hong, my academic advisor and research supervisor, who has been an invaluable guide. He has offered unwavering support during challenging times, providing career counselling, supporting every endeavor I have made within and outside of PolyU. His kindness and care have made my university experience truly enjoyable.

Thank you to the professors for providing invaluable academic guidance, helping me secure internships and exchange opportunities both in Hong Kong and abroad, which have enabled me to become a research assistant. Recently, I was awarded the highly competitive and prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for a Joint Master's Programme on Nanomaterials in France (University of Lorraine), Italy (Tor Vergata University of Rome and Istituto di Struttura della Materia Rome) and Slovenia (Jozef Stefan International Postgraduate School). This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support from my department.

我在理大經歷非凡的學習之旅。理學院、應用物理學系以及教授竭力支持我的學術研究。尤其是我的學術顧問和研究導師曾遠康教授，他在我面對挑戰時給予堅定不移的支持、提供職業輔導、支持我在理大內外的每一項活動，他的關懷讓我的大學生活變得愉快。

感謝教授們提供的寶貴學術指導，幫助我在香港和海外獲得了實習和交流機會，並成為了研究助理。最近，我成功獲得了競爭十分激烈的Erasmus+歐盟聯合碩士項目獎學金，前往歐洲攻讀納米材料。這項成就得以達成，有賴學系的全力支持。
