More than 170 friends and supporters of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) participated in the “PolyU • Forest Zone Invitational Golf Tournament” held on 26 January at the Eden Course of the Hong Kong Golf Club to enjoy golfing and show their support for PolyU.
Officiating guests of the morning kick-off ceremony included the Hon Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen, President of Legislative Council of Hong Kong; Prof. Frederick Ma Si-hang, Chairman of the MTR Corporation; Ms Fiona Cheung, Chairman of the tournament’s Organizing Committee (OC) and Chairman of Forest Zone Limited; and other Honorary Chairmen of the OC including Mr David Ting, Dr Dennis Ng, Mr Lee Yuen-fat, Mr Bob Chong and Dr Edward Chan.
The afternoon kick-off ceremony was officiated by Mr T. C. Chan, Chairman of PolyU Council; Dr Patrick Poon, Chairman of PolyU Foundation, Ms Fiona Cheung, Chairman of the tournament’s OC; and other Honorary Chairmen of the OC including Dr K. K. Wong, Dr K. C. Yip and Mr Peter Lau.
Golf participants were happy to attend the award presentation ceremony and dinner held at the Jockey Club Innovation Tower at PolyU after the tournament.
PolyU management acknowledged the contribution and support of the Organizing Committee and that of sponsors during the event. Fund raised will be used to support whole person education of students. The evening was filled with fun and joy.
