The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has named the lecture theatre N003 facing the greenery lawn on 21 November after an alumnus, Mr Yu Tung-shan in appreciation of the keen support he has rendered his alma mater.
Mr Yu graduated from the Building Department of the Hong Kong Technical College, forerunner of PolyU in 1963 who has not come back to campus until January 2018 at the Award Presentation of the PolyU Invitational Tournament.
Firmly believing in giving back to society, Mr Yu made not only donation to PolyU to express his gratitude for the education he received, he also contributed his painting of the Lantau Island where he could see numerous opportunities for students of the Faculty of Construction and Environment.
