PolyU celebrates the establishment of the Able Endowed Professorship in Construction Health and Safety

On 16 September, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) held an appreciation lunch to express its gratitude to Able Engineering Holdings Limited for establishing the Able Endowed Professorship in Construction Health and Safety. The appointee of the professorship is Ir Professor Albert P.C. Chan, Head of Department of Building and Real Estate, Associate Director of Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development and Chair Professor of Construction Engineering and Management (first from left).

Mr Ngai Chun Hung (third from left), Chairman and Executive Director and Mr Yau Kwok Fai (second from right), Executive Director of Able Engineering Holdings Limited, have previously supported the establishment of two other endowed professorships at the Faculty of Construction and Environment, in support of the education and research in the areas of sustainable structures and materials, as well as smart structures respectively. This new professorship will be of great encouragement and support to the Faculty’s scholars to further excel in academic and research. 

The Able Endowed Professorship in Construction Health and Safety is the 4th endowed professorship set up at the PolyU’s Faculty of Construction and Environment since the launch of the Endowed Professorship Scheme in 2012. For more information of the Scheme, please visit here.
