A green Valentine’s Day in PolyU

What is Fair Trade? Fair trade means much more than just maintaining fair prices. It contributes to bringing about a more sustainable world for us all. The Campus Sustainability Office organized a ‘Blind Tasting Workshop’ and a ‘Free Fair Trade Chocolate/Cookie giveaway’ on 13 – 14 February which provided an opportunity for the University community to know more about Fair Trade.

In this event, participants learned more about the current unsustainable practices of chocolate production and how Fair Trade tackled these problems. Apart from learning Fair Trade concepts, students and staff who dressed in green were given a pack of Fair Trade chocolate or cookies as a reward.
